Panglao Island Tour · Panglao pickup or meeting points

A guide for the hills and tarsiers

The Standard version of the premium countryside day, run by the same Panglao team: a guide and driver, hotel pickup, the mahogany forest, the tarsiers, the Chocolate Hills and lunch at Loboc. Pick it if you want a real guide at a price close to the budget tour.

Guided Chocolate Hills & Tarsiers Tour

About this experience

Same operator as the premium tour, same route, a lower price. The evening before, you get a clear WhatsApp message with your pickup time. The van then collects you at your hotel in Panglao (or at the nearest main road if your place sits on a narrow or dirt lane) and the day opens with the man-made forest, a drive under tall mahogany trees with a pause for photos. Next is a quiet forest walk to see the tarsiers, then the climb to the viewpoint at the Chocolate Hills.

At Loboc you choose your lunch: the Loboc River cruise with buffet lunch at ₱1,200 per person, or another restaurant by the river, both paid on the day per the listing. If weather and timing allow, your guide adds one or two bonus stops such as Baclayon Church or an underground cave, at no extra tour cost; any entrance fee there is separate. Groups are up to 30. Pickups in Panglao start from 7:30 AM and you are usually back around 4:25 PM; if you join at Mario's Café in Tagbilaran or the 7-Eleven in Loboc, your day is a little shorter.

What you pay on the day, per the listing: ₱500 per person for entrance and environmental fees, and lunch. Guests like the small touches, from umbrellas on a wet day to a team that takes photos all day. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start, and you can reserve now and pay later.

We had a great time at our guided Bohol countryside tour! It was well organized, comfortable and a good way to see all of the “greatest hits” especially if you only have 1 day. Kudos to our tour guides Dana and Dude who took good care of us and were very fun travel companions.

Tips before you book

  • Read the WhatsApp message the night before; it has your pickup time and the meeting point if a van cannot reach your hotel.
  • Pick up from Panglao if you can. The listing says later meeting points have shorter time on the tour.
  • Carry ₱500 per person in cash for the fees, plus lunch money. Small notes make the ticket booths quicker.
  • Tarsiers are nocturnal, so you will see them asleep or half awake in the leaves. The Philippine Tarsier Foundation asks visitors to keep their voices low, switch off the flash and never touch or feed them.
  • June to November is the rainy season (PAGASA). Pack a light rain jacket for the showers; the hills are at their greenest in the wet months. In heavy weather the Loboc River cruise can pause, as it did from 4 February 2026 for Tropical Depression Basyang.
